Electrical Engineer Intern

Ibeos is looking for highly motivated individuals to participate in both summer and off-term internships as they work towards completing degrees in engineering and related disciplines.  We offer real-world experience in a number of space-related engineering areas such as electrical, mechanical, and computer engineering. Interns will gain experience with the complete engineering design cycle, including but not limited to requirements generation, system design, production, and quality testing.  Our interns are exposed to a wide variety of tasks and processes and are able to meaningfully contribute to the development and production of space-grade electronics within the course of their internship.

Our interns support a wide range of electrical products including power converters, battery modules, and single-board computers.  Interns will work on design, analysis, and test of these products throughout the full product lifecycle (from requirements generation through production and testing).  Interns will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging projects in environments ranging from low Earth orbit to lunar landers and interplanetary missions.

Ibeos is interested in individuals with skills and interests in one or more of the following areas:

  • Analog/Power and Digital Electronics development and debug

  • Test equipment design and automation

  • Power electronics design with GaN semiconductors

  • Writing and maintaining effective supporting documentation

  • Collaboration with a multi-disciplinary engineering team

  • Independent time management, effective communication, and proactive attitude
