Senior Mechanical Engineer

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to all aspects of the product lifecycle: from requirements development, through preliminary design, critical design, prototype, test, and production. Typical tasking includes design, analysis, prototyping, and testing in support of Ibeos programs. A Senior Mechanical Engineer works relatively independently on their assignments, with guidance from a more senior-level mechanical engineer on more complex design, analysis, or testing programs.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Ibeos is interested in individuals with skills and interests in some or all of the following areas:
Experience with mechanical CAD design (Solidworks preferred)
Experience with Finite Element Modeling (FEA) for mechanical analysis and thermal analysis
Design for manufacture
Creation and execution of qualification test campaigns, including vibration, shock, TVAC
First article builds and mechanical assembly support including drawing and procedure generation
Experience with different materials including thermal interfaces and epoxies
Experience designing products for operation in space or radiation environments
6-10 years of experience designing analog electronics, either for space, or other high-reliability/low SWaP application; Apply to Principal Mechanical Engineer Position if you have >10 years of experience
U.S. citizen or permanent residence required
